The gelato we serve was made onsite in our kitchen fresh.Yes, we really made it fresh. Making our gelato fresh gives it a uniquely smooth texture and intensely pure flavor. Because our gelato has less fat than ice-cream and doesn’t use artificial stabilizers, freshness is absolutely essential.

Everything is made from scratch, with no off-the-shelf mixes. It’s not the easiest way to do things but it’s the right way. By making everything from scratch, our flavors are one of a kind and we can carefully source every ingredient so we know exactly what’s going into our gelato.

About Us

Our chef went to Italy in 2012 and most of his time was spent at the gelaterìas. It became a daily obsession. On trip back to India, we noticed that no one was making authentic Italian gelato. What started as a craving turned into a business idea and, eventually, La Casa Gelato.
We decided to train as much as possible in Italy so we could learn from the best of the best. What we noticed was that, even in Italy, gelato could be improved upon. Most shops use prepared pastes and off-the-shelf mixes to some degree and we knew that wasn't how we wanted to do things. Our dream was to find ways to create our own flavors, making everything from scratch, using the best ingredients we could get our hands on.
La Casa Gelato started as a kiosk in adajan area of Surat city, serving gelato. But direct interaction with the customers was always more exciting to us and, luckily, we had an amazing response in our small kiosk. We opened our shop in ghoddod area of Surat, which was a great stage, not only for testing new flavors and seeing firsthand reactions to the gelato, but also to connect with young public. Our fan base grew quickly and we saw that people were grateful to finally have quality gelato in Surat. The success in ghoddod shop led to opening of 2nd retail shop, in Adajan, in the summer of 2015, and we haven't looked back. We're growing fast as our reputation for quality, healthy gelato–with both traditional and unique flavors–spreads across the country.

We've also made a commitment to never use artificial flavors, preservatives, or coloring..

We make our gelato with lots of love. In other words, we care.
